There have been topics about cyclist using the footpath, laws against cycling on footpath, death and injuries of cyclist, Motorised bicycle or Personal transporter.

The Bicycle is the oldest form of transportation. The rich and poor use it. It is 1 of the lowest cost of getting around, keeping fit and it is environmentally friendly. However there are complaints from pedestrains and with the new law in place against cyclist on footpath, there's also increased death & injuries of cyclist using the road.  

Cyclist on footpath have been fined by the authorities, but authorities have also turn a blind eye when they see teenagers cycling on footpath. It would be safer to have these teenagers on the footpath then on the road. How about when parents bring their kids to school? would you want to see them on the road? The authorities have a law in place, should they ensure it's safe for all cyclist (including children, parents) before implementing it.

I have seen cycle lane on the roads in other countries, so shouldn't the authorities provide the same if they want to implement the rule against cyclist on footpath? If there cycle lanes on the road then personal transporter should also be relaxed thus making it more environmentally friendly.

Rude & inconsiderate cyclist are basically people and their attitude, be it pedestrains, cyclist or motorist. You can't get rid of them or YOURSELF. Same with the bicycles, unless the government get rids of all the bicycles in Singapore.

Just been to East Coast Park recently and I saw quite a number of pple on a new 3 wheel bike. (managed to find a picture)

it looks like fun.... and it was something fresher than the usual cycling.

so I went a head to try it. It looks simple but I was struggling for about 15 mins.

The shop owner Andrew showed me some tips and once I got the momentum. I was off alone on this 3 wheel vehicle.  

The ride was really fun and comfortable. I usually get saddle sore from riding a bicycle.

I traveled a distant from shop (next to East Coast Burger King) to just before the Seafood center, then the shop owner Andrew chased up to me to see how I was doing. He wanted to make sure I have no problems with the "Carving Vehicle" and that I enjoyed the ride. The ride feels like skiing on the streets.

the movement looks simple and relax but after the 1 hour ride I could feel my muscles. Andrew said this was a low impact full body workout equipment and I really feel the muscle ache this morning.

It was a damn good workout ! i think I will go back for more.

Thought of getting 1 unit for myself but it is a little pricey. Then again sames goes to good bicycles.

Rental is going for $8 an hour onwards. I will need to rent about 100 hours to get myself a good model.

hmmm...  maybe I will wait for my year end bonus. '

I think you are missing the point. I am setting up a shop on recreation/Sports (I mentioned this beginning of this thread). It's just that there is extra space and I thought it would be a good idea to provide refreshments (other than soft drinks) like Ice Blended drinks on a hot sunny day at the beach. I do not have my own receipe or menu so the next option for me is franchise of bubble tea. this is just to cover some of the cost when business is slow. Since I will be employing staff, it is good they have something else to do if my primary business is slow. you can say I am fully utilising the resources (space and manpower). :D

And to those who have not drank any bubble tea in YEARS!!!   The shop is at the beach, families goes to the beach. children and women. Take a good look at the Bubble Tea (e.g. Sweet Talk). Look at those situated at bus interchange, Shopping centres, those at the correct location have been busy.

Master-_-, you are quite right that u did not start yr business, business will be very slow. Since alot of pple will order on-line from BBQ wholesale. If you are renting out portable BBQ pits, sooner or later National Parks will be talking to you about alot of rubbish your customer leaves behind.

I just need some information on the start up cost of bubble tea. Just information, I may or may not take it up.

 

I am not worried about funding. It is getting the constant flow of customers. Running the my business should be able to cover my cost. It is just how fast and how much I can profit. This is the reason that I am willing to share my shop and since there is no bubble tea around that area I feel bubble tea more crowds.

I am fed up working for others, I want to start my own business.  I have a good business plan and it is something that does not stresses me too much.

I am looking for an opportunity to open up a shop at East Coast Park. I have shown my business plan (on Recreation) to some people and they like it, afew wanted to invest in it.

I have enquire about a shop in East Coast but size maybe too big. I had other plans that requires bigger shop but that is for the future. Right now I need a small shop space of about 500 sq feet. Part of the shop will be used for my business the other part will used as an office for a few freelance friends and together we will be making used of each others talents and form a consortium. This will take form slowly.

I have experience in Logistic & Procurement however lack the knowledge in some areas. I need information on afew other things so that I can improve my business plan. I would also like to have a business partner to share the shop with. A business partner of operating bubble tea, if there is no one then I might take it upon myself.

These are the following things I require.

1. Capital for starting a bubble tea shop. (Franchise terms & conditions, costs of equipments, etc - not including renovation, manpower)

2. The market rate of rental at East Coast Park. Property agents may drop their contacts or offers.

3. I need more partners to form this consortium. I have with me a Graphic Designer, A programmer, multi media designer, photograher.

Within 5 yrs I like to build an uptown business place to be.

Those places no more, they moved to East coast Road.

Renci had delicated their time and money to the really poor and needy.
